President Biden Tests Positive for Covid-19
Today, President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 while delivering speeches in Las Vegas. According to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the President is experiencing mild symptoms and will self-isolate in Delaware while continuing to carry out his duties fully.
Biden, who is vaccinated and boosted, boarded Air Force One without a mask, telling reporters he felt good despite his diagnosis. His doctor reported that the President came down with a runny nose and a non-productive cough, and he has received his first dose of Paxlovid.
The President's symptoms remain mild, with a normal temperature and respiratory rate and a 97% pulse oximetry reading. He was scheduled to deliver remarks at the UnidosUS Annual Conference but did not attend due to his diagnosis.
This is not the first time Biden has tested positive for Covid-19; he previously tested positive in July 2022. The Biden campaign quickly turned his latest bout of the virus into a fundraising opportunity, linking it to a thread on his personal X account that criticized Elon Musk and his rich supporters trying to influence the election.
